Build Your Own Miniature, Pocket-Sized Gadgets and Tools This Weekend

Some of the best gadgets and tools are the one you make yourself, but they're even better when they're so tiny they'll fit in your pocket because you can take them pretty much anywhere. This weekend, put together some mini tech and tools.

Gadgets

Thanks to the Raspberry Pi, you can build all sorts of tiny gadgets on the cheap. For starters, this pocket computer isn't much bigger than a bulky Nintendo DS. Tools

If you like the Altoids tin format, you can use it for tools as well. Just try this survival kit or mini toolbox. If you prefer, your keychain can make a great pocketable tool that can be made even better with just a tiny Lego blocks. If you're a photographer, this pocket tripod is an easy build and a handy item to have around. If you're trying to form good habits and like the analog format, the Hipster Habit App will do the trick. A slight modification to any key will give you a 10-in-1 tool. But while you can make a lot of great tools yourself, there are a few you can buy that are so cheap that you're better off just making a purchase instead. This credit card survival tool is only $4 and there are several other options as well. Either way, having a few tools in your pocket make it easier to pick up a fun DIY project wherever you are.
